When your children or grandchildren ask 'What did you do about the planet?' how will you answer?
If you want say 'I did all I could', then you and I are on the same journey.
A journey of generosity.
Giving all we can now, because doing it later will be too late for our children.
Plus, it'd be blooming nice if they got to see a tree or two.
Connect and let's talk about how we can do more, together.
Maybe we arrived here from different starting points or go about it in different ways, but the trajectory aligns.
For me, through entrepreneurship I lived my dream life, only to find that hedonistic daydreams weren't all they cracked up to be.
I was done; bored of chasing after experience, tired of constantly desiring for the next; the bigger; the better - this one, that - these, and those.
So I spent 6 months meditating in Buddhist monasteries and a silent retreat.
Generosity became the focus.
Now this life is dedicated to doing good; be it through philanthropy and charity, or investing and work.
My present priority is making nature a more investable asset so it makes economic sense to rewild, restore, and regenerate - not just ecological sense.
My team and I are building The NBS Financing Guide, in which we are mapping how different financial instruments can be used throughout the whole life cycle or a nature-based solution.
Now we may have more issues now than ever before.
The way I see it though is that we can make the choice to adopt a pessimistic view of it - or we can see now as the greatest opportunity for generosity in our history.
More is on the line than ever, and isn't that what makes a great adventure?

It took me till my thirties to realise that if I don’t support nature the way I’ve supported people, then perhaps my children, and the generations that follow, won’t be able to experience the blessings of nature as I have.
Maybe they won’t even have a place to call home.
So I reflected. And I changed.
At the age of eight, I left the countryside and found myself immersed in the bustling diversity of New York City.
The differences in language were just the beginning – race, culture, personal boundaries, and approaches to leadership were all different.
Differences were welcomed, and that uniqueness was beautiful.
I still remember thinking, “How vast the world is!”
Born in Japan, where 70% of the land is covered in forests and the ancient belief in the “Yaoyorozu no Kami” (the myriad gods) - the concept of harmony with nature - still holds strong, I developed an ability to embrace diversity while loving the greenery, camping in the forests, swiming with the dolfins, playing around the cherry blossom trees from an early age.
This, combined with my experience of being shaped by city life, repeatedly overcoming the unexpected, forms the foundation of my strength: the ability to face uncertainty head-on and adapt flexibly without being swayed by ever-changing conditions.
Nature exists just as it is. We are part of its diversity, and it is nature that sustains us.
As I write this, we’re working with many wonderful projects around the world enabling nature to thrive so the next generations can have similar experiences of connection as well. But they lack the funding they need.
There’s also a wide range of investors who want to ‘go green’ but there are many barriers they face when trying to do so.
To help with this, we have Panicle Office. Our mission is to be a bridge that connects nature and people, which is why we’re pursuing ways to make nature more attractive to private investment.
We hope to meet many of you with similar passion and value alignment to work and enjoy this journey with us.
