Bridge and concession research

A structured approach to testing the demand, delivery risks and long-term economics of transport concessions.

Early research theme

The project question

A concession depends on permissions, demand, service standards and maintenance obligations over many years.

Our early work concerns stakeholder and capital-market research. This page does not represent concession rights, a construction mandate, financing or committed investors.

Research and feasibility

Commission traffic counts, origin-destination surveys, freight and border-flow studies where relevant, willingness-to-pay analysis, competing-route review, land and permitting diligence.

Technical and financial modelling

Model traffic by vehicle class, ramp-up, toll elasticity, inflation, capex, lifecycle maintenance, debt service, reserves, tax and foreign exchange. Stress delays, diversion, outages and lower demand.

Commercial structuring options

Compare toll-based and availability-payment concessions, special-purpose vehicles and construction/operation interfaces. Outline allocation of demand, completion, currency and handback risk for counsel.

Asset management and monitoring

Plan independent asset-condition reporting, service-level performance, lifecycle reserves, incident logs and handback preparation.

Example brief

Scope a traffic-led concession feasibility and financial-model study.

A scoped engagement can produce an evidence brief, assumptions register, scenario model, commercial-options comparison and a prioritised plan for further diligence. The exact outputs depend on the brief.
