Catchment and site option design
Developing ways to compare nature-based infrastructure options across environmental, operational and commercial objectives.
Research and prototype concepts
The project question
Site choices involve competing objectives and imperfect data. Fast screening must remain traceable to physical evidence.
Our concepts connect geospatial screening, environmental models and option comparison. Accelerated models require validation against reference methods and field evidence.
Research and feasibility
Assess terrain, hydrology, habitat, land constraints, asset exposure, stakeholder priorities and the quality of each input dataset.
Technical and financial modelling
Compare site and intervention scenarios using physical models and, where validated, faster surrogate models. Carry uncertainty into cost, risk, avoided loss and benefit attribution.
Commercial structuring options
Compare land agreements, delivery partnerships, beneficiary payments and programme governance. Separate model outputs from legal permissions and landowner commitments.
Asset management and monitoring
Specify baseline surveys, repeat monitoring, model-version records and checks on realised outcomes.
Example brief
Commission a catchment or multi-site options appraisal.
A scoped engagement can produce an evidence brief, assumptions register, scenario model, commercial-options comparison and a prioritised plan for further diligence. The exact outputs depend on the brief.
