Consumer flexibility and assurance
Developing approaches to measure, coordinate and account for flexible energy demand across groups of small assets.
Research and prototype planning
The project question
Batteries, electric vehicles and flexible loads have changing availability. Commercial models need to account for delivery uncertainty, customer consent and network constraints.
Our proposed work connects portfolio modelling, software architecture and evidence for performance verification. Proposed trials are not presented as completed deployments.
Research and feasibility
Study customer participation, baseline methods, equipment interoperability, dispatch permissions and applicable market-access requirements with specialist partners.
Technical and financial modelling
Simulate availability, dispatch, fallback capacity, settlement and penalties. Stress correlated non-delivery and customer opt-out; reconcile each revenue stream against physical capacity.
Commercial structuring options
Compare aggregator, software-licence and managed-service models. Define customer consent, data responsibilities, settlement rules and liability before implementation.
Asset management and monitoring
Specify delivery logs, baseline checks, consumer outcomes, exception management and audit trails.
Example brief
Scope a flexibility-portfolio model and measurement plan.
A scoped engagement can produce an evidence brief, assumptions register, scenario model, commercial-options comparison and a prioritised plan for further diligence. The exact outputs depend on the brief.
