Satellite-connected water intelligence

Combining Earth observation, ground measurements and resilient communications to improve decisions about water.

Research and partnership development

The project question

Water decisions can be constrained by sparse measurements, unreliable connectivity and uncertainty about changing conditions.

We are developing a research and partnership programme around water intelligence. The proposed integration is being scoped and validated; it is not described as a proven global monitoring service.

Research and feasibility

Define the decision first: water availability, flood exposure, cooling conditions or water quality. Assess sensor coverage, satellite suitability, communications reliability, ground truth and data rights.

Technical and financial modelling

Translate uncertainty in water availability and thermal conditions into downtime, backup capacity, water purchases and project cashflows. Model sensor, data, connectivity and service costs alongside potential avoided losses.

Commercial structuring options

Compare pilot, data-licence and managed-service models. Define data ownership, permitted use, availability commitments and liability for decisions.

Asset management and monitoring

Track sensor health, calibration, data latency, coverage, confidence and the actions taken by accountable operators.

Example brief

Scope a satellite and sensor water-intelligence feasibility study.

A scoped engagement can produce an evidence brief, assumptions register, scenario model, commercial-options comparison and a prioritised plan for further diligence. The exact outputs depend on the brief.
